Wet Utilities
TTS Engineering brings decades of experience to installing every type of wet utility for projects spanning the spectrum of high-density residential and commercial developments to off-site agency owned public works projects. TTS’s project portfolio is filled with some of the most difficult and time sensitive installations of fire, water, and sewer systems as well as complicated detention/retention systems. We are the perfect project partner as we can leverage decades of relationships with manufacturer engineers as well as design team engineers to bring about the most productive preconstruction value engineering proposals. The breadth of our multi-disciplined, in-house engineers also makes us the preferred partner with the ability to peer review and provide timely mid-project utility conflict resolutions.
Dry Utilities
TTS works closely for and with Southern California Edison in marrying the off-site utility backbone to many of our on-site development projects. TTS has a lengthy list of duct and gas installations across southern California and our long-time participation in the ISN and Veriforce safety programs qualify us to self-perform any Edison, So-Cal Gas, or SG&E scopes of work which may be tethered to your project.
Concrete
TTS has dedicated in-house concrete and masonry crews capable of performing any structural concrete slab pours, CMU block walls, curb and gutter formation, sidewalks, and all other flat work. Our crews have gained specialty experience by working closely with many agencies such as the Irvine Company and other local AHJ’s. TTS also maintains Accessibility related expertise by participating in the DSA CASp program and partnering with CalCasp for annual continuing education in the ever-changing arena of CBC 11b building codes.
Demolition, Excavation, &
Grading
At TTS, moving dirt is where we began and it is what we have perfected over the last two decades. We both partner with some of So-Cal's best subcontractors as well as self-perform our own excavation for all scopes of work. TTS also brings many dirt broker relationships to economically overcome difficult import/export projects that vary in size from a small lane expansion to 10 acres. Our recent incorporation of the emerging GPS technology of integrated machine controls helps us both execute to plan and also provide real-time updates to our project managers which helps us better monitor production QA/QC and quickly identify and report conflicts to the engineering teams.
Specialty Projects
TTS has become the preferred partner for the manufacturers of cutting-edge sustainable infrastructure technologies in southern California. As technology evolves, TTS adapts to the needs of our growing clientele and their innovative infrastructure installations. These projects present challenges that TTS has grown accustomed to such as pouring concrete pads between 12 and 48 inches thick after correcting highly variable elevations, intricate piping layouts to bring all civil infrastructure to the pads, setting complex rebar frames, and directional boring. TTS has also partnered with many southern California school districts to implement this new technology as well as Aquatic Technologies and their Olympic pool designs that must be built to microscopically accurate proportions.
DB Equipment
TTS’s Support Services subsidiary, DB Equipment, maintains an up-to-date fleet of tier 4 equipment with excavators ranging from 100K monsters to the smallest mini-ex’s, loaders from 7.5 yd. to skid steers. Partnering that with their in-house trucking, super ten/backhoe combos, DB Equipment always has the support needed for the most planned project or the worst emergency. DB Equipment’s dedicated Support Services team manages our fleet of saw trucks and coring operations as well as our hydro excavation and potholing crews.
